Hybrid cars are expensive and still hurt the enviroment. in the long run says its less expensive and is still better for the enviroment but if that is youre goal then you might as well change ur car to run on something better like vegetable oil. does even better for the enviroment then a hybrid and except for changing youre car around to run on it, its very cheap especially if u buy used vegetable oil from fast food joints then u are also recycling as well. the only downside is having youre car smell like french fries. but its generally cheaper and better than using a hybrid. there are other fuel sources than vegetable oil though that is just one example
